電子媒體17日公布2016總統大選民調，國民黨若提名洪秀柱，支持度領先民進黨蔡英文3%；如果改提王金平則落後1%、朱立倫落後7%、吳敦義輸29%。
國民黨總統初選民調結果揭曉，洪秀柱順利通過「防磚門檻」，今日提報中常會，如經7月19日全代會通過，將獲正式提名。
TVBS民調中心最新調查發現，立法院副院長洪秀柱在通過初選民調後，支持度從6月3日時的31%大幅提升10個百分點至41%，民進黨主席蔡英文支持度也由32%提高到38%，洪秀柱首度領先蔡英文3個百分點。
如果國民黨不提名洪秀柱，而改提名其他人選，立法院長王金平支持度落後蔡英文1個百分點（35%：36%），兼任國民黨主席的新北市長朱立倫則落後7個百分點（35%：42%），副總統吳敦義則慘輸蔡英文近三成（21%：50%）。
該調查是TVBS民意調查中心於6月15日至16日晚間18：30至22：00進行的調查，共接觸1,212位20歲以上台灣地區民眾，其中拒訪為161位，拒訪率為13.3%，最後成功訪問有效樣本1,051位，在95%的信心水準下，抽樣誤差為±3.0個百分點。
抽樣方法採用電話號碼後四碼隨機抽樣，人員電話訪問，所有資料並依母體性別、年齡、地區等變項進行統計加權處理。調查經費來源為TVBS。
